Can I stop contributing to my Pension Plan?

As a member, you could stop contributing to the MSBA Pension Plan when one of the following situations occurs:

  1. Upon termination, retirement or death, you will cease to be an active member of the Pension Plan, contributions will no longer be remitted to the Pension Plan.
  2. If you are a leave of absence for more than 24 months, contributions  will no longer be remitted to the Pension Plan.
  3. If you are over age 71 and still working for a Participating Employer, contributions cannot be remitted to the Pension Plan past the age of 71.
